I couldn't resist one snapshot of Brewster with the mountain in the background.

The bottle fed calf is still at it. Korie does a great job of feeding her every evening. Kali named the calf Daisy.

Kali loves to help feed the cows.

After Kali helped feed the cows, she stood and talked to them for a bit. She explained to them "no more food Mama cows, that's enough."

Can you feel Spring in the air?

I am definitely suffering from Spring fever lately. Thankfully we have had a few beautiful sunny days. As you can see, the horses agree. This was our view this afternoon from the back of our house. I think in my next life, I want to be a horse...these horses!

Kinley and I went out for a little walk this morning. Kinley decided that she wanted to wear her Daddy's shirt.

Future Actress

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting our little Kali girl, she is quite the ham. I don't think I have met a little kid with such a strong personality before...ever! Today she discovered that she can climb up on the windowsill and for some reason, the accomplisment must have gotten her feelings all stirred up. She started saying "Mom, I am sad...look at me" which then was followed by a series of poses to express her deep sadness. I asked her if I could take some pictures and she responded with "great idea!"

So, at the end of this little emotional demonstration, I said "show me happy," and I instantly got this face!

Reaching Milestones

Kinley will be 7 months old next week. She can now sit up by herself (for a limited time). She also got her first tooth and the one next to it is ready to bust through any day now.

Whoa...what happened? I was sitting up and next thing I know...wham. I am not sure if I like that!

After she realizes all is good, she let's me know it's ok with a little grin.

Another addition to the P Bar

Introducing the latest member of the Peacemaker clan. This is Lotti. She will be a year old in April. Should be another interesting and fun project for all of us. She is very sweet.

The boys (Brewster and Indio) are VERY curious about Miss Lotti!!!!

Kinley is such a ham. She seriously has a smile that lights up a room!

Mmmmm...yummy snow!

Grease is the WORD!!!

Saturday night the girls were introduced to one of my all time favorite movies Grease, minus a few PG-13 parts. Kali did nothing but dance during most of it and managed to get Kinley to participate too. Korie zombied out on the couch and couldn't take her eyes off of the movie. I got some really good video of it and hope to post it as soon as I finish up the disc I am recording on. It's pretty cute.

Notice Kali's shirt? She put it on ALL by herself.

We had a calf whose Mama isn't producing enough milk for her, so Mark and Korie have been supplementing with a bottle.

Well, Christmas vacation has come to an end. Bummer. It was busy, but we managed to find some time to do a few fun things and have my parents, Mark's cousin Wesley and Mark's Mom come for a visit. Korie had her friend Abby over to do some riding with Mark. It was really cold outside, but they had a good time.

Kinley's first food

It's funny how even at this age, a child's eating habbits can be determined, so it seems. Kali was our picky eater as a baby and she still is. Korie ate a lot like Kinley does; which may mean that Kinley will not be a picky eater, since Korie is not.

Anyway, this is Kinley's first introduction to a solid food. She loved it. I couldn't shovel it in fast enough. She even had to help me by grabbing the spoon and putting it in her mouth. Of course, at first she spit it out a few times and then...watch out, she sucked it down like it was candy.

Have you ever noticed that in most of the pictures of Kali and Kinley, they have hardly any clothes on? Well, it's because we have a wood stove that blasts the heat at us, so we walk around most of the time in the winter in minimal clothes, sweating...just thought I'd explain!
