Visit with Papa and Grandma

We got a visit from Papa and Grandma this weekend. Korie and Mark showed off their riding skills while the rest of us shot a few quick photos.

A GIRL AND HER HORSE

As many of you probably can guess, if you didn't know already, our little Korie is a major horse lover. We got her a horse for her birthday last summer, named Nevada, and he is the BEST horse ever. Nevada is 30 years old (yes...30!!!) and is the most gentle, well trained and tolerant horse. Sometimes he gets a bit stubborn, but we love that about him too. Korie loves to go out and ride him after her homework is done and just prance around in the fields. Today she decided bareback or "beer" back as she used to call it and shoeless was the way to go, although I don't recommend the shoeless part; too much of that and it will be "footless" one day!

I can't believe that Kali is going to be a year old next month. It took a lot to get her into this world and now she is growing up way too fast. She started saying Mama and Dada a few months back and is now sort of saying "Sissy" and "Sadie." She is a total charmer. When we go to the stores, which she loves, she insists on being in the big part of the basket and stands up and hangs on the the edge and talks away and smiles at people as we stroll through the store. Too cute! I think we are going to have our hands full BIG TIME as she gets older. Yesterday, I left out a box of rubber gloves and she had a great time pulling every single one of them out of the box!
