Trip to San Diego

Our trip to San Diego was fantastic. We crammed a lot in and visited a lot of family. It was good to spend some time with everyone, including my Mom.

We spent one day at Legoland. It was fun. The girls had a good time on the rides. We would definitely go back, but do the Sea Park and Water Park next time too.

This was probably my favorite part of Legoland...mini-land. It was very impressive, cities such as San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C. and more all made out of Legos.

Kali insisted on going to see Bob but then when we got there, of course she was shy.

Checking out the Seal Lion beach. Pretty cool.

We spent one afternoon at the boardwalk riding some rides and playing on the beach.

Puppies are getting big. They are also getting A LOT of love.

Kali, Korie and I are hittin' the road tomorrow for a trip to San Diego for about a week. It will be fun, but hard to be gone so long.

Sure will miss these two while we are gone

Kali did a great job and was an adorable flower girl this weekend. She didn't want to smile for pictures a few times, but that's about it. Thank goodness for bribery and gum. The wedding was beautiful and Kali was precious.

Kali and the bride, Laura Bray (now Singleton) and the Bride's Mom, Toni.
Kali and her partner in crime, Oliver.
She made it up the isle with no problem and down the isle with a little help from the Grooms sister, Amy (who also happens to be Korie's swim coach).
Kali stood in front during the ceremony for about 10 minutes. She spent most of her time doing this during the ceremony (she was coloring).

This weekend was also Mark's birthday. He likes to tell people he is 28. I took Korie and Kali birthday shopping for him earlier this week. Kali saw this t-shirt and instantly grabbed it. She insisted on getting it for Mark. It was pretty hilarious. She doesn't even know who the character is, but somehow she thought her daddy needed it. Hmmmmm...woman's intuition maybe? Ha Ha. Mark thought it was pretty funny too.

Just some random pictures. I guess I needed to catch up.

Kali and Kinley have gotten a little taste of the warm weather and the fun of playing with the water. Sometimes I wonder, do kids have an internal thermometer? These two were outside playing with the hose. Both ended up soaking wet. It was chilly outside, but they didn't seem to mind at all.
Why they both decided to roll around on the deck is beyond me.
Yep, in her undies in the cold playing in water and as happy as can be.
My parents came to visit for a few days. The girls had a great time torturing their Grandma.

Meet Lotti

If you ever come out to our place and roam through the horse field, you will soon notice someone behind you. She won't hurt you, but will follow you patiently with her nose on your back and wait for you to stop and acknowledge her. Wherever you walk, she will go. If you stop, she stops. She is the sweetest thing ever. When you turn around to see this sweet creature, this is what you will most likely see first.

Everything is so green and beautiful right now.

A few posts back I blogged about the conversation of Korie and I about the neighbor dog who was visiting our Molly dog. We have been watching her and really didn't think she is pregnant. Last time she got a HUGE belly really fast. However, last time she had 15 puppies!

So, the past few days, we have noticed that this is ALL Molly seems to want to do. Sleep! This is all too familiar of a feeling to me...especially about 21+ months ago. Poor girl. I can so relate to how she feels.

We will keep you updated on the possible addition(s) to the family.

Are we raising girls or wild animals?

What will we do when these girls are no longer in the house livening up our world? Even dinners are entertaining.

Seriously, no posing here. This is Kinley's new thing at dinner time. Maybe she wouldn't do it if everyone wasn't laughing so much.

Of course, Kali had to try it to see if she'd get the same reaction

One more video, but I'll have to upload it later this week.

Where'd we go?

We are all still here....alive and kickin'. I guess we have just been busy and I haven't had a chance to take many pictures. LOVE that the weather is warming up, but still need the rain. Looking forward to my parents visit in a few weeks and Kali being the flower girl in the Singleton/Bray wedding later this month. CATHOLIC wedding....should be interesting. I think she'll do great, she will love being dressed up in a princess dress.

Korie is getting excited to get out of school next month, we have a trip down to San Diego planned.

Kinley is talking up a storm. She pretty much repeats everything and is definitely getting a mind of her own.

Mark left this weekend for a cattle auction. So, the girls and I are holding down the fort. Fortunately, Mark made sure we were well taken care of and didn't have to worry about much.

My friend Rachael came over for a girls night on Friday. We introduced city slicker Rach to country living. It was pretty funny and I think she enjoyed us putting her to work. Korie sure enjoyed showing Rach how to feed the animals. Good stuff. We also had our dear friends the Stensethers out on Saturday for dinner and a movie. Kevin left Saturday for a 17 day mission trip to Uganda. If you'd like to follow his journey, there is a link to the blog on the right. Pretty exciting.

Thoughtful Mama D

We came home the other day to a few goodies placed on our doorstep. Looks like the dress fairy paid us a visit! Thanks Yo!

One cleaning and the other happy with belly laughs. What did I do to deserve this?

It's so funny to watch these two in their own little world engaging in their own language.

Little Monkeys

If you ever come to our home, here are 3 reasons why the house is always a mess. It's a miracle we still have any furniture in one piece.

Easter...really?

Can you say "type A personality?" Korie is so funny.
He has risen, snow has fallen.
