I love these girls

You know you are a redneck (and desperate) if you are taking a dip in the livestock feeder, the SMALL livestock feeder that is barely larger than a sink.

A day at Kidder Creek

Kidder Creek camp was generous enough to let the Grenada Berean Community Church have full use of the camp this weekend. We didn't camp, but we went for the day to spend time with our church family. What a wonderful gift.

A few of the campers going for a ride up to the cabins.
I actually brought Kinley a bathing suit. Let's just say I was too tired.
Korie and Abby working hard on some kind of masterpiece.
Kinley showing Teresa and Christie her ouchie.

And...the worst mother of the year award goes to...

Labor Day weekend started off with a trip to the ER. First time EVER for me or the kids. Kinley was standing on our rocking chair, facing backwards and holding onto the top. She fell over onto the fireplace hearth and pinched her little fingers between the back of the chair and the hearth. Ugh. It was so bruised and swollen that we were worried she broke something. Thankfully, she didn't. Anyone want a rocking chair?

I wish I could sleep this well

Korie's 10th Birthday and Kinley's first day at her new school

Birthday Fun

Korie got to invite a few friends over Saturday for a birthday sleepover. The girls got along great and I think they all had a great time.
Of course, there were crafts involved.
We had a family get together at Sunshine's to celebrate Erika, Korie and Kinley's birthday. It's so great that our girls can celebrate with Erika too. It will be sad when Erika is gone one day and maybe not around to have these kinds of celebrations anymore. But, I guess that is why they invented cars. Hopefully these 3 can always celebrate together.

Uncle Chris helping Kinley put on her new flip flops.
The look on Kinley's face is hilarious. I think Grannie was showing her some candy.
Giving Uncle Chris some love

Man this kid is funny. I just love her!
Korie and her best budy Abigail, in puppy heaven.
I like your jammies Kinley Shea
Maggie decided to join the girls for their bath. She really jumped in by herself. Kinley wasn't too happy about it, but Kali loved it.
Kinley hanging onto the edge and definitely ready to get out.

Good times at the Siskiyou Golden Fair

The heifer and bull getting a makeover by Korie and Mark.
Korie showing her studmuffin bull.

Korie hanging out with Mr. Sampson. Mark's FFA teacher, Korie's future FFA teacher. Gotta love Harry Sampson!

Yum!

This kid is so cute.
You can always count on going to the fair and running into good friends there.

Korie's last swim meet of the season was this week. We were fortunate enough to have Grandma and Papa here to join in the festivities.

The gang watching from the sideline.
Korie and her relay team. Go Dolphins!
Grandma running through the sprinklers with Kali. Not very fun to sit in 100 degree weather and not be able to get wet.
Awww...Papa and Kinley Shea.

What a life

Mark: I'll be back

Me: Can you wait just a minute!

Korie: Huh, what did you say Mom?

Kali: What abut ME?????

Kinley: I do it!

It's kind of like "I spy" how many puppies?

Korie and Kinley relaxing after some hardwork swimming. Oh..and the dogs, this is what they do most of the day.

Dear Pastor Benji...

I am sorry if in church today I was a distraction as I laughed hysterically to the point that I was crying. I really did try to be quiet. My precious daughter sitting next to me was drawing pictures and for some reason, these two "portraits" of Mark and I gave me the case of uncontrollable giggles when I saw them. Especially the one of my handsome husband.

Maggie...the newest additon to the P Bar

Swimmin' with the Dancers

The Dancer's came out to hang with us. The kids decided it would be fun to go swimming in one of the ponds. This happens to be the pond that all of the bulls drink out of. Only one bull came over to check things out.

I am STILL digging mud out of Korie's ears.

Korie contemplating...can I swim faster than the bull....hmmmm????

Mama D's got a great pitching arm!
Mason throwing some mud at the bull. I was hoping the bull would walk toward him to see if Mason would wet his pants, but the bull wasn't interested in the little guy.
Poor Molly, she was giving the girls a "ride."
