Welcome Indio
We added a new family member to the Peacemaker place. His name is Indio. Not sure exactly how big he is, but he is a big boy. He is an 8 year old Thoroughbred with a great, gentle disposition. We got him because he is a wonderful "all around" horse and aside from the fact that he can be ridden by anyone, we are hoping that Korie can use him for barrels and pole bending. Her horse Nevada is still her number one guy, but it's just too much to ask him to run for the horse competitions. Maybe he will make an appearance again next year at the competitions if we decide to let Kali participate in the "lead line" events.

Kinley
Unfortunately, I am not able to update our blog from home right now. So, new postings will be limited for a while. But, I do have a few pictures that Jodi took of Kinley last week. Thanks for the pics Mama D!
All 3 girls are doing great. Kali loves her "baby." She gets a little jealous once in a while, usually in the mornings. Having another baby in the house is pretty much the same ol' song and dance to Korie. Kinley is growing like crazy. She has tummy problems and wants to eat all of the time, so she is probably going to be a "round" chunky baby. Hey, whatever makes her happy!

Daddy and his girls
A lot of people know Mark's serious "tough" side, but what they don't get to see is what a great, loving father he is. I am not sure if Sunshine ever dressed Mark up as a girl when they were kids, but our girls have already started playing "dress up" with their daddy and he's such a good sport about it.

Precious baby girl!
On Sunday afternoon we were blessed with the arrival of our sweet baby girl. Her name is Kinley Shea and she weighed 7 lbs. 14. oz. I think I pushed for a total of 8 minutes and she was out...but don't let that fool you...it hurt!!!! Because she was born so quickly, she was VERY purple and bruised. Poor girls face was swollen for a day or two, but is starting to look better. We are home now and everyone is doing well. Kinley doesn't look anything like Kali or Korie (in my opinion). Actually, she looks EXACTLY like Mark. Not sure if it's because of the black hair or what. We are so happy to finally have her here and that she is healthy. More pictures to come....

Happy Birthday Korie

What's up with the Peacemaker's???
Life here for us has been pretty crazy. Korie is keeping us busy with her activities and all the running around. Mark is working like crazy right now, building a custom home and trying to keep up with North Country Memorials, plus all of the work that needs to be done around the ranch. I have been working 2 very full days a week at COS and pretty much spend the rest of the week chasing after the girls and playing "taxi Mama." There is definitely no sitting around eating Bon Bons. Korie is enjoying her summer participating in swim team and horse activities. Kali is growing like crazy and repeating EVERYTHING we say. It seems like she is saying a new word every day. Her favorite word is to tell her sister to "stop." Little baby girl P is getting big, as is her Mama. We had a slight scare on Sunday night. I woke up at 1:30 a.m. with horrible contractions, back pain, the whole 9 yards. I was very close to going to the hospital, but they just quit out of the blue. I went to see the doctor the next day and was told that I am dilated to 1, 60% effaced and that the baby's head was "very" low. She told me I needed to take it easy for a few weeks. Try telling THAT to a 20 month old little active baby!!! So, I am trying to take her advice. I guess I probably shouldn't have been on the 4 wheeler that day chasing cows. So, in a nutshell, that is what's going on here. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby girl, which could be at any time, but hopefully not for a few weeks!

Summer Fun
Summer has finally hit. We have been VERY busy with lots of activities, including attending daily practices and weekend swim meets for the Yreka Swim Team. Korie had her second meet this weekend and did great. Right now she is pretty much swimming freestyle and backstroke. Today she swam in her first relay.
