Korie: "Mom, I think Molly is going to have puppies again."

Me: "Why do you think that?"

Korie: "The neighbor dog keeps breaking into the yard and I saw them kissing."

NOOOOO!!! Anyone looking for purebred yellow labs? I have a feeling we will have some in a few months. UGH!!!!

Red Angus anyone?

It's that time of year that we will have beef for sale. We are taking orders now. These muscle stud-muffins are pretty lean. They are all natural, no chemicals, grass fed purebred Red Angus, a little over a year old. They will be ready in a few weeks so we are taking orders now. You can order a whole or a half. Approx. cost comes to about $2.25 a pound (including butcher costs). Questions, please email Mark at pbarranch@sbcglobal.net if you are interested or have questions.

We finally made it to hang with the Dancer family. It was a great way to welcome in the first day of spring.

Kara and her shadow Korie.

Yummy cake!

Korie and Kamryn having a great time with the rope swing. Those two are pretty funny together.
Kinley LOVES babies. She thought little JD was pretty cute. Not sure what he was trying to say to Kinley but it must have been a mouthful!

Mr. P and Mr. D

Carson was so sweet with Kinley. He was rubbing her face and trying to hold her hand.

Korie was in complete bliss.

I never had a sister. If I did, I would wish for moments like these

Today the girls disappeared into Kali and Korie's room. I could hear banging and loud thumps. I went in and caught them jumping on Kali's bed. They both got in trouble. Later, I went to check on them in the room again and found this...they are in Korie's bed. Click on the bottom video first. These two are too much!

This last weekend we spent Sunday separating the cows out in preparation for breeding season. Korie invited her friend Payton over to help. The kids worked hard and I am sure slept very well that night.
Korie encouraging a calf to go through the squeeze.
Awww...so sweet.

I think it has been determined that Kali may not be our outside girl. She doesn't usually last outside for very long. On Sunday she started heading back to the house ahead of Kinley and I. Kinely obviously is pretty slow at the long walk. So, when we approached the house, this was how we were greeted by Kali. You think she was frustrated in waiting for us? What a drama queen. She has got it sooo rough. She is a riot.

I bet you are diggin' her outfit aren't you? She dressed herself! Good thing we live on a dirt road!

One of my favorite "duets"

Watching a Carrie Underwood video on the computer.

When she doesn't have a camera in her face, she can sing most of the song.

"Mama...I am a cowgirl now!"

Time has finally come to really introduce Kali to riding. Today was her first time riding around with her Sissy. She didn't want to do it at first. But, I put her in the saddle with her protesting the whole time. As soon as Nevada started moving she was grinning ear to ear. Kinley wanted NO part of the activity whatsoever.

Kali even got a little alone time in the saddle.

Gotta be spiking their milk with something....

Not sure why the screen comes up blank, but if you hit the play button the video will appear.

Happy 18th Birthday to Kameron

For Kameron's birthday he got a tattoo. I got a picture of it, but it wasn't a very good photo.

At Casa Ramos to celebrate the big day
Kameron being serenaded
Can you believe this hot Mama has an 18 year old?
Alina and Korie goofing off
Kinley trying to escape the sombrero lady

We were at Casa Ramos for almost 3 hours. The girls were really good considering. Kinley spent her time wandering around our table.
...and exposing herself.

Proverbs 24:27

So, at church today, my friend LeAnn approaches me and says with a chuckle "Kim, I have a verse for you, but I don't think you will like it." I always get excited when someone has something from the Bible they think is especially important for ME to read. So, I was anxious to see what she had to show me. She showed me the following: Finish your outdoor work and get your fields ready; after that, build your house. I am not even sure how to describe what I felt when I saw it. But...I CAN tell you how Mark reacted. He was gleaming. After he read it, with a smirk on his face he said "you should be a good Christian woman and follow the Bible."

Thanks LeAnn. I really did need that and I know of all people, you can relate.

It's pretty much impossible to sit at our table without having a little visit from the climber Kinley.

Peek-a-boo Mama...comin' to get you....

If I blow kisses, Mama is less likely to notice me...right?
And...up we go

Who can resist that face? You ever see Puss-in-boots in Shrek, when he gives those big cat eyes right before he attacks?
Working hard with Daddy.
We spent some our Valentines Day outside. We were all suffering from cabin fever.

Here Korie and Kali are running off to go feed Nevada.
Nevada is such a good boy, you just open the gate and he runs straight to his food. No lead rope necessary.
Gettin' a little love from the bulls.

What will I find today?

It is a mystery every time I go to get Kali out of her "nap" to see what she has gotten herself into for the day. She is quite the explorer. Of course, she explores all of Korie's stuff. Some days it's frustrating, today was pretty hilarious. She discovered her Sissy's swimsuit, goggles and swim cap. Do we have another YST swimmer on our hands?

Anyone wanna come over and play "blocks?"

Although it is a ways away, it's just soooo hard not to get excited at the progress.

View of the future house, garage is on the very far end. Piers to the right are for the front porch.
From garage end looking toward the house. I wonder if people will think I'm nuts if I pitch a tent and start getting "settled in?"

Conversation at the dinner table

It's important for us to sit down as a family every night and have dinner together. We are successful most nights. The time at the dinner table isn't always peaceful and perfect, but it's irreplaceable. The other night while eating, Kali announced that we are all Princesses. She said ..."OK, I am Snowhite, Sissy is Sweeping Booty, Mama is Cindawella and Kinley is Aireeeol." I asked her who daddy is and she said..."The Gwinch!!!!" I think we almost peed our pants from laughing so hard, Mark too.
